Top Security Guard Training Company Partners with 501(c)3 Nonprofit to Offer At-risk Young Adults Vocational Training

Los Angeles, CA – March 09, 2022 - Security Training Center® (STC) and Cops 4 Kids & Communities (C4KC) today announced a partnership to offer vocational training to at-risk young adults and the community of San Jacinto. Members of C4KC and the general public can take unarmed private security guard license training at the Center. STC staff conducts the training using state-approved training materials and a well-established curriculum at the C4KC facility. 40-hours of training is free to C4KC young adult members and costs $200 for the public. Classes run Monday through Friday from 4:30pm to 8:00pm and on Saturdays from 11:00am to 6:00pm.

"C4KC is a fantastic organization and provides a wonderful service to the community of San Jacinto," said Alex Haddox, M.Ed., CFO and Co-Owner of Security Training Center.® "We are proud to partner with them and help the community."

The training is conducted by trained and licensed STC staff at the C4KC facility. Many of the instructors are former law enforcement. All instruction uses the state-approved STC training materials. Upon completion of the 40-hours of training, students are provided signed state security guard registration applications and a certificate of completion. Students keep their training materials, including the several hundred-page training manuals. C4KC has on-site Live Scan services, the digital fingerprinting service required by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) for security guard background checks.

"We feel lucky to work with STC," said Jeff Penn, Director, Cops 4 Kids & Communities. "They are experienced and know what they are doing. Their training programs are a huge boon to our community."
